Volunteer Opportunities

 

Bingo Director
  • Recruiting & managing bingo volunteers
  • 10 Events per year
  • Attends two bingo meetings per year
  • Can attend monthly meetings (1st Tues each month, except July & August)
  • Following AGLC policies

Secretary
  • Organized and good attention to detail
  • Sends out all meeting correspondence in a timely fashion (Agenda, Minutes)
  • Can attend monthly meetings (1st Tues each month, except July & August)

 
 Program Director
  • Highly organized
  • Main point of contact for all programs & program inquiries
  • Liaison for the City of Edmonton programs
  • Offer diverse programming that suits the needs of our community as needed
  • Organize programs including online payments using EventBrite
  • Can attend monthly meetings (1st Tues each month, except July & August)

Senior Liaison
  • Ensure programming & events are inclusive to seniors
  • Reports issues to the city (Ie. areas that aren't easily accessible)
  • Builds relationship with SEESA
  • Organizes yearly event if there is interest
  • Can attend monthly meetings (1st Tues each month, except July & August)

Maintenance Committee

Looking for members to join our committee that will plan and organize upgrading our facility. Major exterior and minor interior work to be planned for. Tasks would include but not limited too are as follows:

  • Determining project priorities
  • Researching best options
  • Scheduling quotes with contractors
  • Applying for grants & fundraising
  • Monitoring project progression
  • Reporting to the Board of Directors

Bingo & Casino Volunteers

We hold bingos 10 times a year and a casino every other year, these fundraisers are key to the success of the community league. If you would like to volunteer, please email:

Let us know if you're interested in a one-time volunteer opportunity - Casinos, bingos, special events, grounds clean-up, safety groups, or anything else.
